 Venue: *Breakthrough Youth Village & ^Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp

Fee: $450 (Including shuttle bus to and from campsite, course materials and dinner)

 Quota: 30 people per class 

  

  

 Learn how to arrange songs in a cappella WITHOUT the use of musicsheets and lead your group members to sing your arrangements

  

 – for those who are interested in arrangement and lead ensembles to sing a cappella (e.g. school choir teachers and choral conductors in church who acquired basic chordal theories)

 – for those who are interested in singing a cappella; score reading skills is not required; some choral experience is preferred

 

 Yin is a very knowledgeable and down to earth musician. His A cappella workshop was fun, interactive and filled with useful information. His creative way of teaching helps you to learn some complicated theory without losing your mind! Definitely hoping to learn from him again!

  

 …The music theory he taught us in forming basic harmony was easy to understand even for a novice like me. The vocal percussion part was really fun and truly eye opening. The unique and stylish music he taught us is well suited to the churches striving to reach out to the younger people… I think most of us learnt a great deal in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere. Hope he can come back again and teach us some more.

  

Ng Cheuk-yin, the creator of SIU2 is a composer, arranger and performer. He is Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s first Artist Associate, the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s first resident composer, co-artistic director of “Yat Po Singers” and a founding member of the a cappella group “The Gay Singers”. He studied music composition at the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and studied Japanese at the International Christian University in Tokyo.
