 Come and join Ng Yin’s a cappella arrangement masterclass!

 

Course Content

 

 – to try out and analyze students’ own a cappella arrangements

 

 – to discuss on a cappella arrangements

 

 

 

 Who should apply?

 

 Masterclass Students

 

 – who are interested in and have some experience in arranging a cappella music

 

 – who acquired basic music theory

 

 

 – Class Size: 4-6 people

 

 – Fee: $250

 

 Note: Each Masterclass student must submit two own a cappella arrangements in PDF to info@yatposingers.org before 7 August 2013. All scores submitted will be used for discussion in class only.

 – who are interested in arranging a cappella music

 

 

 

 – who acquired basic music theory

 

 – Quota: 10 people

 

 

 – Fee: $150

 

 Note: Observers are not eligible to submit their own a cappella arrangements.

 About the moderator: Ng Yin

 

 Ng Cheuk-yin, the creator of SIU2 is a composer, arranger and performer. He is Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s first Artist Associate, the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s first resident composer, co-artistic director of “Yat Po Singers” and a founding member of the a cappella group “The Gay Singers”. He studied music composition at the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and studied Japanese at the International Christian University in Tokyo.

 

 

 

 

 In 2012, Ng received Award for Best Artist from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 2009, Ng received the Best Serious Composition in CASH Golden Sail Music Awards for a theatrical choral concert Rock Hard. And this work was performed as the opening show of Hong Kong’s cultural program in Shanghai EXPO 2010.

 

 

 

 Recent works includes his solo a cappella album “Single Singers” arrangements of Paul Wong’s Rockestra Concert in Hong Kong Coliseum, film score of Mcdull movie “Pork of Music” etc.
