International Workshop Festival of Theatre:
Workshop on Real Time Performance
Belgian theatre-maker, author and artist Jan Fabre is one of the most versatile artists on the international stage. Throughout his career, he has developed a unique set of ‘guidelines’ for his performers for their work on stage. The series of exercises focuses on structurally honing and optimizing the performers’ quest for the potential of corporeal acting.
In the workshop led by Ivana Jozic and Kasper Vandenberghe, two experienced performers of his teaching group, participants’ body becomes an instrument that examines the transition from act to acting. Their imagination and the awareness will gradually increase and become the motor to achieve physical transformation and expand participants’ expressive power on stage.
