Who should apply?<\/b><\/div>\n

\u00a0– for those who are interested in arrangement and lead ensembles to sing a cappella (e.g. school choir teachers and choral conductors in church who acquired basic chordal theories)<\/div>\n

\u00a0– for those who are interested in singing a cappella; score reading skills is not required; some choral experience is preferred<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u2026The music theory he taught us in forming basic harmony was easy to understand even for a novice like me. The vocal percussion part was really fun and truly eye opening. The unique and stylish music he taught us is well suited to the churches striving to reach out to the younger people\u2026 I think most of us learnt a great deal in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere. Hope he can come back again and teach us some more.<\/div>\n

About the Instructor: Ng Yin<\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Ng Cheuk-yin, the creator of SIU2 is a composer, arranger and performer. He is Hong Kong Sinfonietta\u2019s first Artist Associate, the Chinese University of Hong Kong\u2019s first resident composer, co-artistic director of \u201cYat Po Singers\u201d and a founding member of the a cappella group \u201cThe Gay Singers\u201d. He studied music composition at the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and studied Japanese at the International Christian University in Tokyo.<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\u00a0In 2012, Ng received Award for Best Artist from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 2009, Ng received the Best Serious Composition in CASH Golden Sail Music Awards for a theatrical choral concert Rock Hard. And this work was performed as the opening show of Hong Kong\u2019s cultural program in Shanghai EXPO 2010.<\/div>\n

\u00a0Recent works includes his solo a cappella album \u201cSingle Singers\u201d arrangements of Paul Wong\u2019s Rockestra Concert in Hong Kong Coliseum, film score of Mcdull movie \u201cPork of Music\u201d etc.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
