Ng Cheuk Yin is a composer, music producer, sheng<\/i> performer and A Cappella artist.<\/p>\n

Yin is the Co-Artistic Director of Yat Po Singers, Hong Kong Sinfonietta\u2019s first Artist Associate and Music Director of the fusion group SIU2. After receiving a post-graduate degree from the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he went on to study Japanese at the International Christian University in Tokyo and Jazz Music at Codarts in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

In 2012, Yin received the Award for Best Artist from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 2009, 2013 and 2022, Yin received the Best Serious Composition in CASH Golden Sail Music Awards by the theatrical choral concert Rock Hard<\/i>, double sheng<\/i> concerto Before the City Collapses <\/i>and Chinese orchestral work Ji<\/i> respectively. And his choral work Singing Voices of the World <\/i>was twice awarded the CASH Golden Sail Most Performed Works Award (Serious Music).<\/p>\n

Yin\u2019s A Cappella theatre works include Rock Hard<\/i>, Love, Death, and Everything In-between<\/i>, Requiem HK<\/i>, Pica Pica Choose <\/i>and This Victoria Has No Secrets <\/i>etc.<\/p>\n

Other works include Playground<\/i>, a fusion orchestra video performance commissioned by No Limits of Hong Kong Arts Festival, Soul Revisit<\/i>, a crossover project by Naam Yam singer Yuen Siu Fai and pop singer Hins Cheung, drumset concerto Fly<\/i>, Chinese orchestral work Tang Resonating<\/i>, dance drama spectaculars L\u2019Amour Immortel<\/i>, film score for the McDull movie The Pork of Music<\/i>, choral works Singing Voices of the World<\/i>, Music of Love<\/i>, pop songs Under the Cherry Blossom Tree<\/i> and The Way We Grew<\/i> by Hins Cheung, Can\u2019t Get Happy<\/i> by Eason Chan etc.<\/p>\n

In 2011 and 2018, Yin released his A Cappella albums Single Singers<\/i> and Two Is Better Than One<\/i>.<\/p>\n
