The first professional A Cappella choral theatre company in Hong Kong. The founding Co-Artistic Directors are Patrick Chiu, Ng Cheuk Yin and Yuri Ng. Currently led by Ng Cheuk Yin and Anna Lo as the Co-Artistic Directors, the Company focuses on producing and developing original works in order to promote A Cappella art and demonstrate the innovative interaction of music and theatre. Besides, the Company aims at enriching the arts scene particularly by nurturing young composers and artists, audience building and arts education.

The Company\u2019s first A Cappella theatre production Rock Hard<\/em> received the CASH Golden Sail Music Award in the Best Serious Composition category from the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong in 2009. In 2015, the Company received the Award for Arts Promotion from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Another A Cappella theatre work, Our Immortal Cantata<\/em> (Re-run), was awarded The Best Original Music & Lyrics, The Best Sound Design and also one of The Best Productions of the Year by the 26th<\/sup> Hong Kong Drama Awards in 2017. In 2019, the Company\u2019s collaboration with City Contemporary Dance Company Requiem HK<\/em> was awarded the Outstanding Large Venue Production. In 2020, Love, Death, and Everything In-between<\/em>, was awarded The Best Lyrics by the 29th<\/sup> Hong Kong Drama Awards. In 2024, Om Encounter<\/em> was awarded The Best Original Music (Musical) by the 32nd<\/sup> Hong Kong Drama Awards.

Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in 2019-2026, the Company organized an elderly A Cappella choral and life enrichment project: \u201cJockey Club Yat Po ‘Happy A-ge-cappella’\u201d, which motivated the elders by cultivating their talent, strengthening their self-confidence and bonding with people through the A Cappella training programmes and activities, hence bringing positivity to the society. In 2023, the Company was recognized for the project and awarded the Award for Arts Promotion and Education by the 17th<\/sup> Hong Kong Arts Development Awards.

Yat Po Singers is financially supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and the Art Development Matching Grants Scheme of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
